May 13 2011
The Garbage & Recycle Program

The Bins will be supplied and installed at a cost of $575, plus tax, which will be billed to your Club account. They will be placed just off the entrance path to your cottage, between 15ft to 20ft off the main service ring road.

Garbage and recycle pickup will be on Tuesday.

Garbage is to be placed in the bin in a sturdy plastic green garbage bag. Recycle material, such as plastic and cans are to be placed in clear or blue plastic bags and fibre, paper, and cardboard is to be placed in a separate bag or appropriately bundled. This program is for consumer household waste only.  Special arrangements must be made for large items, construction material, hazardous items or yard waste, which will be collected separately, with an addition pick up and tipping fee.

The Cottage Bin

The original Bear Proof, Weather proof, Steel Bin…

The Cottage Bin is the only unit with a counterbalanced “easy-roll” lid with an automatic lid locking mechanism. It does not require any pad-lock or extra device to prevent unlatching, and it is the only unit available with child “escape” lid release latch, for your peace of mind. All heavy duty, premium steel construction, sandblasted, primed and painted inside and out with automotive enamel, makes this unit the most durable on the market.

The Cottage Bin easily holds 4 large garbage bags. It is perfect for those cottagers that like to entertain…or for those in areas with bi-weekly pick ups. Each bin is equipped with clips to store your blue box, and a drain hole with plug for easy clean up and wash out, as well as a “Bin Full Flag”, and handles for easy moving! It’s wedged pedestal feet increase stability and help prevent corrosion. They come prepunched to accommodate chaining, or drill mounting, required to secure unit in known “bear areas”.
